Mask mandate

I had my appointment with my pain clinic doctor this morning. I decided to stay on the same dose of Lyrica that they put me on last month because it seems to be working. That’s good because then I don’t have to revisit the surgery idea. I had my drug test today too. They usually do those every 3 months but with this Covid stuff it’s been put on hold until today. That’s fine by me because I’ll pass everytime no matter when they test. I also bought another new mask from the receptionist there. She makes them and I bought a nice sunflower one. I also recently bought one from someone online that has dog paws and bones on it. It arrived in the mail today. Yesterday our governor announced that he was making masks mandatory in public for the whole state of Ohio starting this evening. I think it’s a good idea. My son isn’t too happy about it though. I’ll have to get him a mask now.

The rest of my day is pretty quiet. I’m getting ready to make a dessert called Butterfinger Lush then I’ll relax and watch TV til time to do dishes and make dinner. Tonight I’m making sirloin tips with mushrooms, baked potatoes and a vegetable.

Nothing else going on so this is where I say goodbye. Have a great day everyone!

How are they going to enforce the wearing of masks?  And what will happen if people don’t comply?

July 23, 2020

@jaythesmartone If they see you without a mask they will ask you to mask up. If you don’t comply you get fined.

@mamaqueenie518

I know that that will not work because I have seen it happen first hand and what happens is people get up too close and start yelling and spitting and then they still don’t mask up and by the time the police can find you and fine you you are long gone.  There is no way to force this mask thing. All they can do is encourage you wear it and what if you have a medical reason why you can’t wear it? Then what?

@jaythesmartone People with health issues don’t have to wear it.

My state began the mask rule back in March/April. It seems to be helping, for the most part, however our county has had more positive cases within the last couple of weeks. But they won’t issue stay-at-home orders anymore, since the hospitals have very few people in them (for now).

Your masks sound cute!

I wish our governor would do a mask mandate. He just keeps politely asking everyone to wear one, but most people don’t and our infection rate is scary high right now.
