Ha, it was a weight lifting program that I was on called starting strength. Once you got up and going, you were doing your max lift every 3x a week on different lifts – squat, should press, bench, dead lift and snatch. In order to do that, you had to eat an enormous amount of calories.
I was drinking a gallon of whole milk a day … and eating a dozen eggs every day. Oh … so bloated.
Anyway, I hurt my back like an idiot on a dead lift and then stayed pretty fat for a while. Eventually, I got back down to weight.
