Another Cold Snowy Morning

Woke up to another Cold morning!  It’s 23 degrees out, and small snowflakes gently falling on the ground.  In a way it is kind of relaxing and peaceful to watch.  On the other hand, it’s cold, means the roads are slick and I have to drive in it!  Tomorrow’s high is 15 degrees and I’m not looking forward to that.

I live in western South Dakota, and the weather is unpredictable here.  It’s beautiful!  We have a forest, rocky mountains (not very big buy beautiful), waterfalls, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, tons of amazing hiking trails, majestic wildlife like Elk, Bison, Deer, Mountain Lions, an occasional bear here and there, coyotes, squirrels, chipmunks, you name it, we almost have it!

There isn’t a whole lot here.  In fact, a lot of stores have closed, and it sucks for us!  The next closest biggest city to us is Denver, Colorado.  Denver is fun to go and visit once in a while, but the traffic is horrific!  So, if we need to take our kids shopping, we take a little mini vacation and go to Denver.  The drive isn’t terrible, you get to see the beautiful snow top mountains from a distance.  They are so pretty!
