Balcony views

Wow.  Tomorrow is the last day of the year.  Incredible.

For the last weekend of the year, the papers were in bundles of nines.  Last weekend, they were in 12’s!.  Nines are just as easy to drop here and there, almost, and you won’t hear no complaints from me about it.

Yesterday, I got to meet Monacita and the Dolphin for lunch.  We used to take roadtrips together, and off the top of my head, I said "let’s go to Multnomah Falls on Sunday".  I’ve been wanting to make that drive, and gee, it’s vacation time, and I should do something besides work it away, right?

The camera batteries recharged last night.  I’ve got nearly a full tank of gas.  The weather is… well, it’s not raining now, and the sun is peeking out to the west.  Things worked out so that Monacita is free, and I will go pick up the Dolphin and meet Monacita and we’ll cruise to the Gorge.  Monacita has a real nice SLR digi-cam to play with… I’m almost jealous.  Zoom lenses and everything.

I’ll have to take some extra good pictures with my pocket digi-cam.

Of course, no pictures of the trip have been taken yet, but here are some balcony views from my apartment to hold you until I get back:

The first four shots are of the snow of Christmas Day, and the rest are of a few days earlier, last week.

A roadtrip with some of my favorite people – how cool is that?

the dolphin and monacita

The burgers were good, and the gingerbread milkshakes were tasty.

Work is done for the day.  The weather is not too bad.  Coffee’s made; a photo entry is made for the day.  The Cat gets to hang out with a couple of beautiful women.

It looks like a good day.

you live in a beautiful place. It makes life richer, doesn’t it!

Gingerbread milkshakes – those sound good! When I see those snowy pictures, I think soup and casseroles!
