French trees

My friend K* loves trees.  They are living things which have energy fields of their own.  "Tree Hugger" is an epithet thrown out by right-wing assholes people to denigrate those who know that these living things are valuable in and of themselves, and I have seen K* hug a tree or two in our time.  She does that to gain some of their energy, and recommended it to me when I was in the Adult Foster Home after the car wreck in ’98.

(For those who wonder, an Adult Foster Home is for those of us who have been injured or are ill and have no families or other support networks to help us recover.  In many cases, AFH’s are the last stop in some people’s lives – several died in the Home I was in.  These are light care facilities, providing a "home" alternative to Rest Homes and the like, and are typically cheaper to stay in than the more crowded alternatives.  The first Christmas card I write every year since 99, when I got out of the AFH is to the family who ran mine – good people)

Trees – our subject today is trees in France, and here we are:

I love trees too, even though I work in an industry that harvests them. But I gotta live, too.

K* is a very wise woman ***HUGS***
