Guessed right?
So, 77 bucks later, the van has a brand new fuel filter and has had the lines blown out. Turns out that the original fuel filter was still installed, so it made it to 148,000 miles plus. The van’s door sticker says it was built in Ontario Canada in September 1989 although it’s a 1990 model. They told me when I picked it up that the filter was plugged and they were amazed that it ran. My van has been a willing beast and has never stranded me. I’m surprised and grateful my van is taking care of me while I take care of it.
Not at all like those *&%(&^%*&^ Volvos I had….

We had our 4th rainest January ever. It never dropped below 33 degrees. There were 21 days of rain falling more that 0.10 inch. There is a 180 inch base up at Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood. Last year at this time there was 34 inches of snow up there. We are at nearly 300% of normal rainfal. Another storm is coming for Friday. There are romours of clear weather next week.

I might believe it if I see it. You know, for a few days in a row, so I get used to it.

That’s one heck of a lotta rain, even for the Willamette Valley. I think I remember a rainy season like that way back in the 1970’s, but I’m not sure. I know how dismal it can be. Now that the van is no longer ill, perhaps a trip over the Cascades to the high desert is in order–you an generally find some sun over there somewhere! 🙂

In the last 2 months we’ve had 12.19″. Yearly average is 18.37″. It’s like we’re in Portland or something. We’re not supposed to be.

The van’s a Chrysler product?

All that snowpack will lead to a few floods this spring I bet.

LOL, I always tell people that the sun only shines here for 2 weeks in June, and any glimpse of sun before or after goes counts as part of that 2 week allotment.Once, my dad pointed at the sun peeking through the clouds, and exclaimed, “Oh my goodness, look at that large orange orb up there! I haven’t seen that since I was little! What’s it called? Oh yeah, the sun! Look, marvel at it!”

My dad was very random sometimes. 🙂

🙁 I sure hope the sun decides to make an appearance in your area. That is too much rain.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you getting the clear weather. 🙂

Knock on wood and don’t say anything else good about the van, just in case……..

I read “Ontario Canada” in this entry and shouted “whoo-hoo” like some ridiculous concert-goer that goes bananas when the band mentions the city they’re in. LOL
