Hotel and motel rooms on the coast (and here in town too!) are selling out, as people rent air conditioned rooms to escape the heat.
Ah, there would be one of the drawbacks to being poor – I’m stuck at home, with the fan on us (us. Me and my cat) and it’s only a shade over 90 degrees here by my desk, where the fan is pointing.
It’s significantly hotter over there by my bed.
I live just over the line from Milwaukie – it hit one hundred and nine degrees there today.
I see this pool of hot air extends north quite a ways – Seattle set new records today too.

The cats were all stretched out on furniture in shady spots. Needless to say, none of cats were too active during the day yesterday.
