Maybe this will work

Ok, I got here without the browser timing out and sending me to nowhere, so I may as well try to write a few words.

Whether it posts once or nine time, like last time, remains to be seen.

I had a meeting to go to on Wednesday – my first staff meeting with Mentor, and I asked as many questions as I wanted, specifically on this: I feel like I’m "making it up as I go along" and was told that that is a good description of what we do, that each client is different and there’s no set formula.

Ok, I was wondering about that. I work without supervision, independently. I clock in when I leave home and clock out when I get home. Transportation on the job will be compensated.

My boy started his Freshman year of High School this week, and so we didn’t have anything together until this weekend, but we’ll meet twice after school this next week, and probably on Sunday too. I will have two swing shifts on Friday and Saturday for my other job, working "on-call" in group homes this next week/

It looks like I’ll be able to make that full car payment this month, which is good; my low payments for the last year haven’t touched the principle of the loan on the car, and I NEED my car more than ever; I need it to go places with my mentee.

(I’m not thrilled with "mentee", but it’s better than "my boy" and might be less confusing for my readers.

OD has bee SLOW lately – my browser times out as likely as not, and so I haven’t been trying to get here much lately. This will be kind of a test – will this post just once, or multiple times?

I miss writing about my life here. Ten years in February. Nearly 4,000 entries (If I haven’t lost any). I’ve been Jones-ing on it, not writing here, and have been using Facebook as a substitute. If you’d like to see that and don’t know my name there, note me and I’ll tell you.
