More me pics

K* took a lot of these pics. I met her in 1981, in California, in a crowded room of "cool" guys who vied for her attention.  I was used to being invisible around the "cool" guys – the skateboarders, the surfers, the ones who got all the attention.

Last year she told me that she had thought that I was the best looking guy there, and that she’d been inpressed that I not only spoke in full sentances, but paragraphs too.

I do so wish she’d told me that then – for most of my life I have lived with the idea that I wasn’t much to look at.  Invisible.  Woulda changed my life, fer real, had I known that a beautiful woman thought I was heads above the rest.

‘Course now I wonder if I’m so fuckin’ handsome that women are afraid to talk to me…  I do catch stares and looks, but I think it’s primarily because I have grown into my looks.

Not bad for 44, eh?

This picture is one that I am very proud of.

I graduated from High School in 1980 and immeadiately enrolled in Pasadena City College.  That lasted one term.  I had no idea what to do myself, and no guidance, so I took my leave and a year or two later, joined the US Navy.

I wanted to get a degree mostly because my parents wanted me to get one – they both had theirs, and wanted their boys to get one too.

By 2000, I had enough credits in various studies to get a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences.  I am proud that I got the degree, finally, but I am very proud to have done one third of it after the car wreck.  I was very messed up by that, and to go on and graduate, is, well, a big fucking deal to me.  Not even two years before this picture, they didn’t know whether I’d live or die or be a vegetable the rest of my life.

"Proud"?  You spell that NorthwesternCat… or KAM, which is really my name.  Either way, I am proud of myself.

Yup, with that college degree, I am the Oregonian Guy.

Irony.  That’s also spelled NWC.

I got tired of grey hair – it’s been turning that way since I was 24, so I dyed my hair black.  I had always wanted black hair… grey eyes too, but I could change the hair color much easier, so I did.

That got some looks too… just not sure if they were "good" looks, or pity, lol.

Nine is enough for now, I think…

I do have "a few" more, so if no one objects, we’ll see those.  France, too.

One more week of school bus drivin’ and then it’s Christmas break, and I’ll have time to catch up here.

Then, in January, I will be changing my work schedule so I will have more free time.  More Open Diary time.

Stay tuned please.

That last pic…….that’s a darn good looking horse. Can’t say much for the rider. He must be making an escape from prison on that horse because he’s got a black/white stripped shirt on. (Just kidding).

This sounds kind of dumb but … you wear clothes well. It helps that you’re tall and thin and good looking, but there is a sense of style there too and a sense of caring what you look like. A nice characteristic, really.

Love the pictures! Especially the one from Mt. Hood. Great clothes. 🙂 LOL at Dot Com’s note! Thanks for posting these! I love the one where you dyed the hair black too.

P.S. I think you look much cuter without the moustache, but that is just my opinion. *wink*

I like the one with the black hair, and no mustache.

I liked the story of K* thinking you the handsomest guy there. I share your lifelong feeling of thinking I wasn’t much to look at. And yes, if we were TOLD that more often, it would help! I happen to think you’re quite handsome….and being intelligent and articulate are two more plusses too. It could be that some women might think you’d not be interested in them; who can guess what goes on in people’s heads? hugs, Weesprite
