Multnomah Falls unedited 2- 12-08
The roadsigns at the beginning of the gorge said "Traction tires or traction Devices Reqired".
Well, the tires on my not so new car are "M&S" rated all season "touring" tires, so I braved it. Not going in real far anyway.

In fact, it was directly to the coffee shop outside that I went; a Cappachino, please.
It was COLD here. 23 degrees, according to the car’s temp reading, but with that gorge wind? Below freezing.

The water in the stream from the Falls was somewhat colder too.
No ice skating here.

I had the camera set for "Snow" and all my pictures yesterday came out in a blue tint.

Multnomah Falls is a scenic place to visit – we get visitors from all over the world here. The Falls are pretty good looking too.

Not very much snow up here – a dusting. The wind was hugel
y strong though – it coulda blown that snow to Washington aross the river.

Yeah, normally the sound of the water hitting this first pool below that 500 and some foot fall is wonderful music.

Today, it sounded a lot like crashing knives.

I HAD to walk out on the Benson Bridge to get these shots:

I took a couple’s picture by the Falls here; she offered to take mine:

Even with my number one winter coat on, it was COLD here and I didn’t feel a need to linger long.
Next up, more single pics like this.
