My front door

I live in a studio apartment.

It is big enough for me and Blacky Cat, and not too big to clean.

It has, as you’ve seen, a very good view from the balcony.

That view is priceless, I think.

This apartment is my refuge, my home, MY place.

Over the front door, I have this:

on the left, graduation things from the degree i received after the wreck; a cat toy hanging with them; and one of my favorite hats, a kangol cap. above it all, a mantra i live.

on the left, graduation things from the degree I received after the wreck; a cat toy hanging with them; and one of my favorite hats, a Kangol cap, hanging in front of a blessing from the temple near my home in Japan.

Above it all, a mantra I live.

Let me draw you closer:

This is indisputably true.

I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t.

This life has had many opportunites to play the victim, to play the depressed and sad cat who cannot live.

I have rarely succumbed to the tempatation to do those things.

This life has had many learning experiences.

If it doesn’t kill you and end your life, learn from it and go…

Upwards and Onwards.

That is the thing I most like about you. It’s true for us all, but you know it. I’m glad you enlarged it too, because I was trying to remember whose quote it was.

Happy Easter. Sweet dreams.

are we on the same wavelength??? i love the picture with the hat, cat toy, and blessing. it’s like a little microcosm of you. did you ever write about the blessing from the temple? what does it say? ryn: thank you a thousand times over for lifting me. sending the good vibes and hugs right back at you.

the first time I heard that saying was in a movie”Steel Magnolias” and I have thought and used it often. I love the movie too. It reminds me of my girlfriends. THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE HOME…….DORTHY

Too true, my Cat. You are an inspriation to us all. To live and live on. I hope that when I crest your age (which isn’t really old at all) that I have such high hopes. It can be hard looking here at 25. It really can be. But seeing one as yourself living so fully, it gives me hope.

Absolutely! ;~)

I’m proud of you for continuing to go forward…… have a good day…… 🙂

Uplifting. Wonderful. I hope you have a wonderful day and a great weekend.

Oh how true that saying is! I feel like I should be one of the strongest women in the world by now! All the pain I have suffered is enough to give me a shell of steel. Onwards and upwards is right. I like that saying.

I like this one and another: In the event of any upset, frustration or complaint, one should take immediate effective action or completely let it go. Both of these serve.

I definitely believe that. I’m living proof. We probably all are.

LOL. I’ve saved and deleted this note twice because I’ve seen typos once I’ve saved it! RYN: I didn’t know who wrote or sang the song, but I definitely did steal the lyric for my title, because I like it a lot. “I’m a bitch, I’m a lover, I’m a child, I’m a lover, I’m a sinner, I’m a saint, and I will not be ashamed.” (I’m looking now. No typos? No.) I hope your Easter went well.

What great advice!!

The not to big to clean aspect is very important. Chores should be sustainable.

April 10, 2007

That aphorism is very true.

Hey….um… you haven’t written in about five days. Are you okay? – BeeGirl

This motto is priceless.
