Oregon
What do you think of when you hear "Oregon"? I would bet it would be an image of western Oregon, the western third of the state. It’s green and there are lots of tall trees – Oregon’s past was dominated by lumber. Most of the state is not especially green:
This is looking from Washington state, on the north side of the Columbia River, about a hundred miles east of Portland. Most of what you see is what Oregon is – dry high land.

This cleft in the rock by the sea reminds me of pirate stories – they chain some poor guy in the cave and he drowns as the tide fills it.

i visited portland about 3 years when my grandson flew me out before he and family went to germany the coast was beutifull they took me to the aquarium so much bright green almost brought tears to my eyes
