So, I don’t have an accent, but boy, he does!

So, I taught English to Japanese of all ages for five or six years.  I tried to speak as accentlessly as possible.

I saw this on one of my favs posts today and thought, well shee-it, I gotta steal that!

I know some native Oregonians that you would never mistake as from bein’ from anywhere else, but on the whole, Oregonians have much less of an accent as, oh, than say, those Texicans have.

And Mainers.  Wicked accents there.

 (Shhh.  Don’t tell anyone I’m from LA)

I’m the same, but that’s only because I’ve been living in Canada for 16 years! If I had kept all of my Midwestern accent, you’d know it for sure! heehee

So…how was your first day back at work?

i’m a boring person with “the west” accent. bah! if i hadn’t moved away from the south as a child, i’d be more interesting.

ok, this cracked me up, because I took it, and it said I was from the northeast! South did come in second, though. 🙂
