That one was for practice I guess
I guess that reformat was for practice. Some things work better than ever, but the other night I went crazy deleting stuff to make room – iTunes took up all the empty space on the system drive, and with a FULL disk, you can’t do anything.
Somehow or another the driver file for the CD got corrupted or deleted, and without a disk drive that the computer can "see", I can’t do much.
Some things still work – or work even better, that video card, for example, cuz now YouTube works like a DVD player – and there’s a lot to look at on YouTube.
I looked up the error code on Microsoft websites, and on other sites, for 50 bucks I can buy some thing that checks all the drivers and downloads new ones, but 50 bucks? Sorry, I don’t choose to part with cash I don’t have.
Further research reveals it’s a Registry issue. I don’t mind the hardware side of things – screw something on and plug it in, no problem, but messing around with the software is a little scary. A little, more like a lot. Messing up the Registry is serious.
I printed out the directions, so, just follow instructions I guess.
Plan B is to do the Reformat again.

Good luck. You are a brave man.
