Thurs. afternoon

I used my  food stamps and bought a month’s worth of 3% ground beef – took my friend A out there too.

Good thing I like that Hamburger Helper.

I came back to find the mail; in the mail is Unemployment’s Decision denying me.

Since the call from UE yesterday was to "reply" to the boss’s claims, and the mail delivers this formal decision today, I’m thinking that yesterday’s phone tag was a charade and meaningless.  It was a done deal already.

I can appeal.

I don’t think it’s worth my time or effort to play that losing hand.  I have a limited amount of energy and should use that in a more productive way.

Fuck the Oregonian, fuck the boss, fuck fuck fuck.

What happens next, I don’t know.

I’ve got a place to live and food to eat – it could be worse.

Onwards.

Frack. At least you have the food stamps and a place to live. I’m thankful you have those things.

You better appeal that! You need some UEC!

I really think you need to appeal. Unemployment, at least here in MT, often denies the first go-round.

Yes, appeal. They have to talk to you again if you appeal. And you will probably have a different case worker too.

December 16, 2010

nope. fight it. you NEED to appeal it. You will win and it will be worth it.

December 16, 2010

I think you should appeal. It’s your right. Why did they deny it?

Write a letter to the head honcho at the Oregonian, telling him what transpired and that your lying boss managed to get you disqualified from UI. He needs to know how his employees are acting with their subordinates. That really sucks. Make sure it’s a letter, and keep a copy ready to post on a website somewhere that you can access for readers of the paper. Maybe they have a comments section forcertain news stories? Just get mean!!

I’ve heard that they just about always deny unless there has been a lay-off. Your hours were cut and given to someone else, so maybe that counts as a lay-off, not sure. If so, it may be worth it to appeal.

I wonder if their starting position is to say no to everyone unless you decide to fight it.
