Well, we made it

 Today is my brother’s birthday and he is 50 years old.

Damn.  We made it.  I was sort of surprised myself, when I turned 50 in 2012, but my little brother?  50?  Wow!

I’ve been thinking about it – 10 – 01 , the date, but I didn’t make any plans or write any notes….

Oh.  Wait a minute.  That’s total bullshit.  My cell phone just rang to remind me, in case I, ha ha, forgot, and my Outlook Express email calendar has a reminder on it too.

But, I didn’t need either one of those: I know what day it is.  I’m just very surprised to actually be here.

Especially since I lost him for so long – 1988 to 2009. I didn’t know where he was, or even IF he was.

Another side benefit to having a presence online – someone found me and put us in touch in 08.

Short note;  I have to drive to work in 45 minutes, a Group Home 27 miles away – out in the Columbia Gorge.

It could be worse
