End of year survey and a couple pictures.
So I made it back from London with a little time to spare before Christmas. My time in Colorado went fast and was mostly enjoyable.
Here’s the same survey I did last year complete with this year’s answers. There are also some NYE pictures at that bottom.
1. What did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Went to London
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn’t really formally make any last year. It was a great year overall and I kept up with things quite well. I’d still like to put some focus into getting really fit.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, but Annalisa got pregnant.
4. Did you know anybody who got married?
Carlos and Becky
5. Did anyone close to you die?
Nobody close to me, thank god
6. Where do you live now?
Just outside Chicago
7. What countries did you visit?
England
8. Are you in a relationship with someone you met this year?
Met him back in May 2008
9. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Hmm, this was a full and fulfilling year
10. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Honestly, probably none. It was a nice enough year, but nothing major happened.
11. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Just having a personally and professionally successful year.
12. What was your biggest failure?
I should call my grandma more and have more patience with my parents
13. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Not so much as a cold that lasted longer than a day. P has been sick a lot though.
14. What was the best thing you bought?
I bought a Macbook Air and I love it.
15. Whose behavior merited celebration?
P. He’s almost always incredibly supportive and wonderful
16. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Same as last year but for different reasons
17. Where did most of your money go?
Rent and bills prior to getting a raise and nice bonus and moving in with P, now most of it goes to savings and investing
18. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Probably moving in with P
<span style="font-weight: normal; "
>19. Did you go to any sporting events?
Not besides a Cubs game. We’ve watched quite a bit of sports though.
20. Name the instance in which you had most to drink.
P and I had a really fun date night one night in November and I had entirely too much to drink. I was so hung over the next day I felt like I had the flu or something and didn’t get a thing done. This year has really marked the end of my being able to go out drinking without repercussions the next day.
21. Who did you want to win Big Brother?
Can’t remember, but I love that show.
22. What song(s) will always remind you of 2010?
That G6 song.
23. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder: About the same, pretty darn happy
Older or wiser: Older obviously, I don’t really feel wiser
Thinner or fatter: A bit thinner
Richer or poorer: Richer. Just got a raise and a nice bonus and saving money living with P
24. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Told people I love them
25. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Maybe a little less OD, I spend a lot of time on here reading
26. Did you cry more or less than you cried last 2009?
I didn’t do a lot of crying either year. If I had to guess, I’d say less.
27. How did you spend Christmas?
With my family in Colorado.
28. How will you be spending New Year’s Eve?
I spent it with P and friends. We pre-partied at a friends place and ate then went to a bar really close to here. It was a good choice, because we still got to go out but didn’t have to worry about cabs and getting home and all that like every other year.
29. Did you fall in love in 2009?
I feel deeper
30. How many one-night stands?
None.
31. What was your favorite TV program?
All the Housewives. I’m also a big brother fan every year and this year was no exception. P and I really enjoy True Blood, we’re about halfway through the third season

It was on a weekday and I spent it blissfully with P. I turned 29

Honestly, it was pretty satisfying all around. I would have liked to achieve some bigger fitness goals.

45. Who did (do) you miss?
I miss friends and family in Colorado all the time.
46. Who was the best new person/people you met?
Again, no one I can think of. That’s not fun. I would love to meet a really really great girlfriend.

The importance of being mindful and really present. I’m working on that.
