London

I’ve been in London for nearly a month and now I’m stranded. My flight yesterday was cancelled because of snow. I have a seat on a flight tomorrow at 4:30, but given that Heathrow has been closed and has cancelled almost all flights yesterday and today, it’s unlikely that I’ll make it out. What looks to me like a couple inches of snow is apparently "freak weather conditions not seen in some 20 years" by Heathrow.

Overall the trip has been great and I’ve had the opportunity to work on some really really cool stuff for work, but I am SO SO homesick and absolutely dying to get back to my life, Christmas or not. Thankfully P came out for five days, otherwise I would be a mess. They have already asked to me come back in January and it would include a trip to Greece, but that doesn’t even sound appealing right now. I’m so thankful that things have picked up after my promotion and I’m being offered these great opportunities, but really I just want to be home with Paul and Tobi doing regular stuff. I guess the grass is certainly greener.

When P was here we took a weekend tour of other parts of England including Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, Lacock, and beautiful Bath. Here’s a couple pictures, but I’ll share more later.

Me the day P arrived with an English pub in the background:

Outside Windsor Castle (P just got a fancy new camera and is particularly fond of the option to have a clear subject and blur the background):

Us in Bath (he would be mad if he knew I was sharing this because he thinks his face looks really fat, but I ,of course, think he’s gorgeous):

this is all so lovely – you look elegant and I am so jealous. I want to be in London working but I do understand the grass is greener mentality. But trust me on this one, you are so lucky!

Beautiful pictures, you look lovely as always =) Sorry you’re stranded, that would drive me up a wall. A trip to Greece would be awesome (I’ve always wanted to go). What is that you do (sorry if you’ve already mentioned this in the past).

I hope you can get back to the States soon! Great pics.
