Please note: if you are using a free 30-day trial membership for the site, you will not be able to add images or media to your entries. This feature is reserved for subscribing members.
In addition to the key image, which appears on the entry card view, you can also add images in the body of your entry.
When you are typing the text of your entry, you can insert an image at any point. Place your cursor where you want the image to be inserted, and then click on the Add Media button above the editing toolbar.
When you click this button, the Add Media dialog will open up. There are two tabs on this dialog, one called Upload Files, and one called Media Library.
If you wish to upload a file that you haven’t used in a diary entry before, you can either drag and drop the file onto this dialog to start the upload, or you can click the Select Files button.
If you click the Select Files button, you will see a file selection dialog where you can pick which file or files you would like to upload. A file must be no bigger than 8 megabytes to upload. Once the upload is complete, you must click the “Insert into post” button in the lower right to add the image to your entry.
Using images from previous entries
Once you upload a file to OD, it is stored for you so you can use it again later. To see these files, you can click the Media Library tab on the Add Media dialog.
If you want to add one of these images to your entry, simply click on the image, and then click the “Insert into post” button.
