Getting Back In The Game
I really felt productive at work this past week, through yesterday.
A typical Saturday for me usually has me working for no more than eight hours. Yesterday, I worked just under 11. I’ve been feeling especially motivated of late and I want to say that I’m on a hot streak with my having had 14 reports of mine approved between Friday and Saturday. With any luck, I can have another dozen reports approved by the end of next Saturday. It’s definitely doable. Let’s see if I can get there. I remain hopeful.
I played a few more games this weekend. I didn’t play anything new, as for whatever the reason, I found myself delving back into the archives, mostly playing stuff on the PS4. I was goofing around on the PSN again, looking for more deals. I didn’t find anything in the 22-cent range like I did last weekend. I found some DLC for Ghost Recon: Wildlands that was on sale, so I took advantage of that. I think I managed to buy all the DLC for that game, so I’m ready to give that game a go. I already know that I’m going to take way too much time creating my character for that game, to where I should probably give myself ample time to get that character made correctly and ultimately, to my satisfaction.
Earlier today, Jay mentioned to me that Activision announced the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. I don’t know if I really care all that much at this point. I guess I’m getting burned out on the series, to where I’m considering not even playing the game “next year”. I have a few months to figure it out, I guess. Jay tends to find himself on the fence when it comes to playing the next Call of Duty game, so maybe I’ll let him make the decision for me. But if I’m choosing today, I’d give it a hard pass.
The Nintendo Switch 2 released last week to much anticipated fanfare. I decided to wait. From what I’ve seen and heard, this latest Nintendo console isn’t faring too well in the days since its release, so I’m going to hold off until I do my research on it. Besides, I have other consoles on which to do my gaming. I didn’t use my original Nintendo Switch all that often anyway, though I have a pretty extensive library for that console. There’s not enough time in the day to play every game I’d like. As it stands, I’m in absolutely no rush to get a Nintendo Switch 2.
Work. Gaming. I’m pretty much getting back to my usual.
I anticipate writing more into the new week, just as I anticipate there being more than enough dumb stuff to write about.
It looks like the status quo is being maintained. We’ll see what next week has in store.
