Nanowrimo: Off and running…

I started writing at midnight, and didn’t stop until 2am. I’m off to a very good start, and now that I’m up with the kids, I’m going to take another stab at the book. The kids got some cheese puffs from last night’s candy hopping, and I’m going to try to get another few thousand words done before Leah wakes up and then I’ll likely take another nap after breakfast.

There’s a good chance I’ll have two more opportunities to write today as well. I’ll get a little time in the afternoon, maybe if Jon goes down for a nap and definitely around 9pm after both boys are in bed for the night. Chances are I will make a three or four hour crack. I’m gunning to have 10,000 words done in the first day. That would be super awesome.

Tomorrow I might be a little more relaxed, but there is a meeting booked again tomorrow for our local writers who are participating. While I don’t have a notebook to sit down and cram out words with, I take a notepad and pan and usually just hanging out with them is enough to generate some inspiration that will later equal into a boatload of words when I get back to the house and the computer. Getting out of the house wouldn’t hurt either.

So that’s what I’m up to this weekend. I hope everyone else is doing all right. I’m going back to my new novel… take care!

RYN: I did finally get started and I’ve got about 800 words done so far. I’m thinking a shower, a quick walk and then I’ll get back to it.
