Work, Kids, and all that jazz…

Can you believe we’re in May? My older brother’s birthday is less than a week away and we are almost at the halfway point of 2025. Hockey playoffs are in full swing… Go Leafs… and things are going well so far! The kids are all growing like weeds, and it’s hard to believe they’re all getting so big! Owen is teething already, and Kat is getting ready for Grade One in the fall. Emma is in daycare too… someone tell these kids to slow down!

I’ve managed to get some work done during this time, and by work, I mean I recently finished a novel, and now am going through the editing/revision portion of the process with the intent to release the new novel online very, very soon. This new novel is a first for me in a few ways. One, it’s the first sequel I’ve written, which is surprising as this is my 13th novel. This is also the first novel I’ve ever written that passed 100,000 words. Before that, my personal best was 88,000 words. So, my plan is to do a few rounds of edits, get the book looking as good as possible and just self pub it and move on to the next project. I’ve got a few more books I hope to finish before the end of the year… knock on wood!

So, that’s what’s kept me busy over the last few months. That and watching movies and shows when I can find the time. This has been a decent movie year so far, as the best movies I’ve seen in 2025 so far is Companion, and Sinners. Looking forward to seeing some big blockbusters over the summer, and then move right into the Oscar Season. I hope everyone else is doing alright, and I’ll try to do some more posts when I can find the time.
