Novel Break

Passive tones.

Mechanical.

A sweating glass sat next to me as I typed.

The dialogue says, “You should work on your novel instead of typing rambling poems that no one reads.”

The author rolled her eyes and confidently replied, “I do what I want.”

Pulling up word and settling in her chair, the author was concerned that her story was not going in the right direction.

One-dimensional characters and POV violations aside, the plot was good but the rest, well- there was work to be done.
