Hello everyone! This is my first journal/write-up on Open Diary and i have something nice to share.
Yesterday morning, i was glued to my laptop for about 4 hours. In a single go. Writing. Exploring the internet space (that’s how i discovered Open Diary and made an account shortly). Learning new things on social media. Learning is my thing by the way. What’s yours?
And then there was a head rush all of a sudden. My breathing quickened as my head began to hurt. Before the tornado of exhaustion could take over, i half-closed the laptop lid and stood up. i breathed a few lungful realizing that i was refusing my mind the breathing room.
That’s what happens when we are so engrossed in putting our heads into a race that we tend to ignore/forget what’s making it all possible – a well-rested mind and body. i still worked through the rest of the day but i was reminded, rather heavily, to take pauses and short walks.
Take off those writing glasses. Look around. Breathe the scent of fresh air. Devour in the peace the silence has to offer. Some precious learning is there too!
