He’s Doing a New Thing
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! …” – Isaiah 43:18-19
“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 8:12
Many Bible passages tell us to forget our past, so it’s not sinful to do so. It’s also not sinful to give a proper stankface to those who want to keep it alive for nefarious purposes (shaming, implying you are an imposter, etc.).
All have sinned and rebelled at some point. All were estranged. Many can still repent and reconcile, and many have already repented and reconciled.
Once Yahuah — not man — says you are clean, you are clean. Your sins are no longer like scarlet. They are white. You do not need to wear the garment of shame for anyone, and you do not need to convince anyone that your are forgiven. All you need to do is take the Almighty at His word, believe it, and accept it. That’s easier said than done for those who’ve been conditioned to feel like everything is their fault, but it’s not impossible.
Release all the self-inflicted shame to Him and walk away from those who want to re-robe you in dirty garments of old. Such people will not be beneficial to your walk and will not understand the real you.
You will know when you have been reconciled to Abba, as the experience will not be subtle. Other people will know as well, but that’s not as important as you knowing.
Commune in prayer daily and gather with those who celebrate and support your growth and want to grow with you. Bless the haters with prayers and the precious gift of your absence.
Keep going strong, even when times are tough and endure till the end. Bitching a little bit (to Him) on rough days is allowed, lol. Source: half the Book of Psalms.
Needed to see this today.
Thanks, and God bless you.
@theprizefighter You’re very welcome. Be blessed.
