a new hobby to me anyway.

i have found me a new hobby that i want to do lol like i need another hobby. lol

ok the hobby is not really a new one, its been around for a long time way back in the 1800’s is when it got started in england.

it is called letterboxing. do any of yall out there know what letterboxing is? have yall ever heard of it?

well i had not ever heard of it until the other day when i was online looking something else up. my aunt bill had told me about a craft she had watched

on tv, the lady had made a mystery letter box. so i was trying to find anything about that when i came across letterboxing. i was interrested

so i started reading about it to see what it was all about. i found out that it is a hobby and it sounds soooooooo fun. so now i want to do it. lol

and by the way i never found the mystery letter box that i was looking for. lol

ok letterboxing is:

people get clear see threw plastic rubbermaid bowls with air tight lids that is water proof. and they put an ink pad a pen a stamp that they carved and

made there self, and a logbook witch is just any kind of note book in the container. they have a letterboxing name that they put in the logbook.

it is something to do with something they like. the bowl with all this stuff in it is the letterbox, they go hide it on a trail that is in a park or on a mountain

under a rock or in a creaves. then they put clues to how to find the letterbox on a letterboxing website. the clues is puzzles and riddles that you have to

solve to find the letterbox. and lots of other people make and hide these letterboxes. then lots of other people get the clues off the website

and then go to the park or mountain to hike the trail following the clues to try to find the letterboxes. but they also have a letterbox name

and stamp and pen and ink pad and logbook. ok when they find the letterbox they take there stamp and ink pad and stamp it into the

letterboxes logbook and with there pen put there letterboxing name by it and date it. then they take the letterboxes stamp and ink pad and stamp it into

there logbook and date it. then they put everything back in the letterbox and hide it back in the same place it was hid in. and then go on to find

another letterbox.

and that is letterboxing. it sounds fun and i want to start doing it. lol

shay.
