On hope
Despite all the lies I was told when I was younger…
I believe.
One day…
We will be free – from indecency, discrimination, from our hatred for each other… We will be free from from borders and nations. Free from the laws of man. We will know freedom uninhibited by pieces of paper.
I believe we can walk a path that isn’t paved with blood and crushed bones and scorched earth.
I believe we can be one people, on earth, as humans. Even with our differences, because that’s what makes us beautiful, not ugly.
I believe and I will never put down this torch. Not so people can follow me. But so they can light their torches and lead themselves.
Ultimate freedom, ultimate truth, and ultimate justice don’t need to exist only within our own minds.
Join us or die don’t. Every single human must make this choice for themselves. I believe that even though the odds are stacked so high against us… I believe there’s a chance that nearly all 8 billion of us will choose the same thing.
To whoever is reading. Please don’t give up hope. If you still have some, know that I am with you. If you’ve already lost it, know that I will share mine with you. And if you can’t fathom it’ll get better, we will carry you with us.
thank you because I feel just devastated and like there is no way and no coming back from this
sending love still though
@bronner at least we are in this together.

According to the writer Grace Paley, the only identifiable feature of hope is action. I’ll be out there again, doing whatever I can.
@ravdiablo sometimes for me, hope is merely the exchange of air required for living, giving the reassurance that I am still here.

@coxiegirl this isn’t just for the people in the US. This is for everyone. We are all humans. We all must make this choice.
