I’m beginning to wonder who there protests are really helping. I saw a lot of people without any gear, no masks, and even taking pictures and selfies. Hell, I didn’t even see any cops directing traffic this time.

I’m happy the local outreach and activism groups were able to discuss their importance. I do need to dig into one of those.

But if we keep getting permission to hold these rallys, what change are we expecting? What are we really saying to others getting hurt, if we’re only willing to stand up for them within our own safe spaces?

What kind of safety are we really willing to sacrifice, for those completely without it?
