Yesterday, while we were putting Bear to sleep, Lev and I realized that today is our anniversary. Well, one of them. This anniversary is the one of that big party we threw with the wedding dress and all that vodka… yeah… that one.
Lev realized first: “Hey, Nina, do you know what tomorrow is?”
“Tomorrow is… September 10th… Hey! That’s our anniversary!”
We sat around for a couple minutes trying to figure out how long we’ve been married. Two years? Three years? No, it’s four. Wait… FOUR?
Staring at each other in disbelief, we tried to remember back. How long had we been together? To quote Lev, “That’s a lifetime ago.”
Four years of marriage, today.
In December, eleven years total in our relationship.
In January, our daughter will be three-years-old.
At this point, I can’t even imagine life without him.
