The move I was in, Encounter, is about to be released. I think it’s going direct to video, which is a bit of a disappointment, but it’s better than nothing.
I’m in the trailer, which I didn’t expect, near the end.
The film stars Luke Helmsworth. I had a blast filming it.
I did speak with the director of the musical I’m in about the stress of rehearsals and he’s cut back on when the ensemble needs to rehearse. I told him four nights a week was about my limit…with the understanding that closer to the performance it would need to increase. I’m still not having as good a time as I’ve had with other shows. The show is funny, but not on the par of other shows I’ve been in. The other cast has warmed up some, which has helped. The show is almost an operetta, with more music than words.
I had an embarrassing thing happen. I was on a conference call for work. It wasn’t just with my team, but a company-wide video call. I was going to take a nap after the call, so I got undressed and got into bed. It seems the app was set to “always start video” and so I was broadcasting to the entire company my hairy chest. My boss’s boss took a screenshot and sent it to my boss. They were amused and my boss offered to send it to me, but I declined. Needless to say, the setting has been changed!
I haven’t shot in a while and it’s driving me crazy. A potential model, who is going through a divorce, offered me her lights and backdrops and I picked those up this week. I haven’t gone through them thoroughly, but the lights seem to be okay; the backdrops are crap. I need to see if the backdrop frame will hold my backdrops. If it does, it will speed up changing from a white to a black background.
I’m trying to get something set up for Sunday morning. Another person who recently kicked her husband out! She’s not too reliable, so who knows?
