Yay! Alyssa didn’t stand me up and we got some great photos. She came about an hour late, though. She did text me and offered to reschedule after being delayed behind a five-car accident on I-20, but I wasn’t having that; I told her to get here when she could. It wasn’t too much after that last text that she arrived. She came wearing a black dress, but she was obviously ready for some more revealing shots. She had no bra on and she had on black lace thong panties underneath. She’s 26.
I pushed the envelop with some of the shots, which I can’t post here, but she had no objections. I’ve spent the last three days editing on and off. It’s more difficult than you might imagine. I don’t have a studio. Everything is set up in my living room and the seamless background paper really isn’t wide enough. I have to do a lot of cloning to widen the background and blending is such a problem. What looks good on my monitor shows up flawed on the iPad or, for some reason, when the photo is posted. It’s weird. I’ve developed ways to combat this, but I really need to do a better job of lighting the backdrop to minimize the blending problem. I re-edited the middle shot three times. The first photo is basically out of the camera, but it has a hot spot on the upper left. Again, for some unknown reason, it’s more apparent here than in the editing software.
I finally heard back from the film people and they sent me a side (a small part of the script) to record as a video audition. I did that today and sent it to them. They will be filming next week. I’ve had the past two days off from rehearsal, but we should be back on it tomorrow, I think. I’ll have to check the schedule. So far, this has not been as much fun as with previous casts. For one, there is only one other guy near my age, though the musical director and I go way back and have things to talk about. It’s a lot of work and I hope I don’t regret it.
Work was…work. I left my earbuds at home, so Liz and Dick had to wait.
I’ve still been on my “old movie kick.” I watched Anatomy of Murder, or rather, finished it last night, and watched The Big Sleep tonight. It just started raining here, so the dogs aren’t going to be happy when they go on their final walk of the night.
