What makes the doctor sound nice and understanding? Yes, is is to bad I still don’t know what is wrong. I hope the 2 meds I was given help clear up the problem I have been having. I mean the med for 14 days and the med for 2 days. I think there are side effects to any type of medication a person could take. Some ppl get the side effect and others don’t from the same med. As I said I was told that teens take the BC patch so it must have not effect them to much. Neither the nurse or the doctor told me what side effects the BC patch has. It’s ok you don’t see what difference does it make if it’s private or not since I talk about BC in my entry that I posted yesterday. Now that I think about it if a person searched online for the birth control patch they probably could figure out what brand it is. With the BC pill it’s harder to figure out what brand it is since there are more than 5 kinds of BC pills a person can take. I think there is only 1 brand of BC patch, but not sure. Now I see why you thought the doctor sounded nice and understanding.

I can’t remember if I asked you this or not. When you started taking BC did you wait until you had your period to start the pills or did you start them the same day you got the pills or the Sunday after you got the pills so that way the pills would always end on a Sunday?

Didn’t you say you needed one months worth of BC and the doctor called the pharmacy you use to have that filled? If so did the doctor need to know the RX number or just the pharmacy name, number, and the type of medication needing him to call the pharmacy about. When a doctor calls a pharmacy for you do you get a call telling you that your medication is ready or do you just go and pick up the medication 2 days later. For the antibiotic you got for the bladder infection (I think you got antibiotic for that) did the medicine help the very next morning after taking it. My mom said most prescription medications don’t start to work until more than 24 hours later. Is that true. My mom said that even if two ppl are taking the same type of medication the RX number would be diff. Is that true. When you say you started on Sunday are you saying you took your first BC pill on a Sunday? If so did a doctor tell you to start the BC on a Sunday or you just chose Sunday because it makes it easier to remember when you need to start a new packet of pills since you only take 21 pills per packet.

That is good you don’t think anyone has to fill out forms anymore to use a certain pharmacy for the first time. I wonder why my mom said she had to fill out a form for her and my brother where she lives now. My mom filled out the form 2 or 3 yrs ago. Did you have to give your address when you first get a prescription filled? I know you don’t live in the US, but I was wondering if you know if azip code on a prescription lable(s) is wrong will that affect the insurance company from paying for the prescription(s). I ask this because the zip code is wrong on the lables for the prescriptions I filled yesterday. Thanks for telling me it’s hors d’ouevres and not what I had spelled it as. That is good you would think I wait til after I get my period so I don’t throw my cycles off. I wonder how taking the BC patch or pills before one got their period affect the cycle.

(c) You said this. Are you talking about the BC patch. If so it says 3 refills before 01/14/2009. What does the refill info on the lable telling a person? I only said the BC patch allows 3 refills per prescription because the prescription drug company I use has a booklet they mail out to members who use them and it says quantity limit 90 days so I believe what I was told is a person would have toget a new prescription 4 times a year. I wonder if that means one really has 4 months worth of that prescription if one counts the current medication one has and than they get 3 more refills or whatever number the doctor gave for the refills. What I mean is if one wants a prescription such as BC pills for 12 months does that mean the person gets 11 refills or do they get 12 and than the one they have to make 13 packets of BC. are you sure you have to get a prescription every 3 months? what does it say on your prescription under Repeats?

You said this. Now that I think about it where you referring to the actual prescription the doctor wrote out by hand or were you refering to the lable for the BC patch prescription. If you were referring to the hand written prescription I don’t have it anymore. The person who put the info into the system to have the prescription filled for me kept the written prescription. I know under refills onthe written prescription it had 3 circled. If I recall from calling the prescription compnay up that if a prescription has QL and a number after it such as 90D than a new prescription has to be written or called in every 3 months. The 90D just means the company will only pay for 3 months worth of that prescription at one time. I wonder if I could really get 12 months of the BC patch if it worked for me and just have the doctor call in and tell the pharmacy that each time I want 3 months of the patch at one time. are you sure you have to get a prescription every 3 months? what does it say on your prescription under Rep

If a person used the same pharmacy, but in a different location in the same state or in your case the same province (I think that is what they call it in Canada) would the person be allowed to do that or would they have to transfer their info to that new location even though the pharmacy name was the same. For you to get 3 months of BC at one time did your doctor have to write out the pescription in a way that you could do that. What I mean is did the doctor put down 3 packets of and give the name of the prescription. If I had an STD I don’t know where I would have gotten it. All I can think of is my bf had an STD.

I hope leaving so many notes doesn’t bother you. I called the prescription drug company I am part of and was told for the QL 90D that I was telling you about means for the BC patch they only allow one box at a time so to me that means I would have to go to the pharmacy once a month. Than the lady I spoke to said the 90D which is 9 BC patches (once I told her how many come in a box) only pertains to mail orders. Since I wasn’t sure if that was true because when I called the company up in Nov or Dec (I think that is when I called) I was told by a lady that QL with a number after it just means a person can only have a prescription for that amount at one time. That means they would need 4 presscriptions a yr if using the BC patch as an example. I called the pharmacy I used yesterday to find out if the once a month thing was true and the lady looked up the info using my first and last name and at first she wasn’t sure, but than told me in order to get 3 boxes of the patches at one time the doctor would have to write it out that way, but it would have to happen for Feb siince the company already got billed for the box of patches I got yesterday.

(C)I told the lady at the pharmacy I was told 12 times a year I would have to come in and than I asked the lady again if I got 3 boxes of patches at one time if that means I would only have to get them 4 times a yr and she said yes. I hope what I was told about the doctor being able to call in the BC pathces for me if I was able to use them would work out.
