sleep, child

the little one is asleep. i have plans to read or watch TV and drink hot chocolate. yum.

later on, i will be watching gilmore girls and degrassi.

i have an eye appointment next wednesday. we looked at glasses on saturday night and picked two pairs we like; i will be buying one of those two frames. it is expensive to buy glasses for me and i wish we had coverage. i have to have the lense thinned because i refuse to wear coke-bottle glasses. i also refuse to wear glasses that don’t have anti-reflective stuff on them.

the pairs i picked are Guess brand glasses but they were the only two in the entire place we liked. they weren’t too bad at under $200. i looked in wal-mart but could see immediately that the glasses were cheaply made. i like flexible, durable frames because every once in a while, sawyer grabs my glasses and pulls. also, i tend to drop them a lot. the store we looked in had 50% off lenses too so thumbs up to that. the ones i have have a similar frame to the two i chose and they have not even come close to breaking.

sadly, i cannot see a thing. i am afraid my eyes have changed drastically again. i do not want one day to be blind but i fear i will be. my right eye is ridiculously bad. it changed four steps one year. apparently, that is quite drastic. my left eye worsens as i get older.

i am domestic today. i’ve just finished baking muffins and i have stew in the slow cooker. sawyer likes oatmeal banana muffins with his lunch and dennis will be lavished by lovely smells when he gets home.

now im craving hot chocolate. yum! I can empathize about the eyes. It cost us a fortune for mine, too. Last time we spent almost 1,000 to get me glasses and contacts. And that was with me getting custom made contacts with the maps of my eyes costing 50 per eye. My contacts were cheap in comparison to my glasses though even with that. I think 800 of it went to my glasses

LOVE the glasses! I need to get new frames, too. I only wear contacts these days. It would be nice to have decent frames. I wonder if they check eyes while you’re pregnant. I know eyes can be a bit different while pregnant.

i like the second pair alot but the first pair are cool too!! my lil man has been sleeping all day :o) mommy is going to pay for it tonight..lol hope you are having a good day. oh i have another fave that lives in canada she has alot of snow do you guys have any??

I like the second pair. I wish I would have got a cuter pair of glasses when I went last time. It doesn’t matter anyway, I am terrible about wearing them. Mmm, stew for dinner sounds yummy.

I personally like the first pair a little better, although they both look nice! I hope the baby is feeling better. RYN: Yeah, thats about the only thing I dread about pregnancy again…all the blood they have to take from me! :o)

Oooooh! Oatmeal-banana muffins sound delightful! I like your glasses choice better. Just sayin’. I don’t have vision coverage with my insurance either, and it’s horribly expensive to get glasses without it. My eyes are weird, too- nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other with astigmatism in both. Huh. kristen
