it’s 55°F and sunny, Margaret!

What a beautiful day!

I’ve got the windows open and am weirded out by how warm and pleasant it is for this time of year.  Not weirded out in a bad way, just concerned being aware of the climate issues that our planet is facing.  All I can do is keep track of my own space ship (my body).

I just shaved my face quick-style (without even taking my shirt off, just tucking one of my microfiber towels into my hoodie collar) and wetting another microfiber towel (I bought big “brick” of them from Costco a long time ago, so I have them in abundance) with water as hot as I could get it and using that to make my face-hairs stand-up/soften and I swiped my Mach-however-many blades across my face in all of the correct directions to ensure maximum smoothness.  Then I pat some white distilled vinegar into my face as after-shave (which stings, but in the best way) and then I apply some lotion that I get from the barber shop that I go to when I’m in need of geting the rest of my head-hairs dealt with.  It’s all so very grown-ass-man, and I guess that’s what I am these days.

The kid just went out with Grandma to go shopping for (I think) make-up because they love being creative with looks and expressing themselves in that way, which I’m totally here for because they’re just so cool.

I got to talk to Shannon on the phone again this morning.  She’ll often call me while she’s out and about doing her errands (whilst driving, but I’m certain that it’s a hands-free situation because she’s smart enough to know all about that) and actually treat me like I’m somebody that she wants to be around as much as possible (but not in a clingy, hyper-dependent way) which feels awesomely refreshing and fun.
