nofa king whey!
Forgive the grossness of the title, whey is so disgusting.
I’m loving my new desk/table, though I did not do my walk today for reasons of which I am not remembering. I think I did too much of bringing all of the stuff that my mother bought at Costco into the apartment and it was surprisingly a lot.
Ummm…life is good. I found some delicious vegetable dumplings in the freezer section at Costco that are compliant for my dietary preferences and I had those for dinner with a dipping sauce that I made from mixing maple syrup with some brown mustard and BBQ sauce. I love finding awesome options for my what-might-seem-picky-but-really-I-just-don’t-want-to-put-anything-that’s-involved-the-harming-of-a-nervous-system into my body. I had some of those with some oats to act as my “rice” since I haven’t made brown rice in a while.
Uhhh…oh! I dropped off my bell-bottom jeans at this place called Barry’s that does dry cleaning, alterations, and all that good stuff and they said they’d totally hook me up with the adjustments that I need to make my new pants awesome. I told them that I didn’t give a rat’s backside what kind of fabric they used to expand, as long as it would last. Apparently this was something that people did a lot to their bell bottom jeans back in the day instead of just buying fresh pairs all the time. Imagine just having people who know that they’re doing provide a service in exchange for money? It’s commerce, baby! If they got the skills it pays the bills, and I get to wear some wicked awesome jeans for the first time in my life at the age of almost-43!
I just called Shannon to check on her because I remembered she was not feeling well and she’s still blech but also still excited about my coming down to see her in eight days. She sounded sick, but also happy that I called to see how she was, which was cool. It’s awesome having somebody to care about like that.
Making every day count for something.
