Absent players

This Saturday we have our first team game of the season. We play against Samen Sterk, which is a team we always loose to. They’re just too well balanced and don’t have any weak spots. Our team has a couple of very weak players and a couple of relatively very good players (such as myself), but in team draughts it is better to be balanced. On top of this it looks very likely that we won’t be able to come up with the full ten players. It’ll probably be 8, which means that they start with a 4-0 advantage. Luckily, this would not matter anyway and we can take this loss. Next week’s opponent is much weaker and if we lose there it will mean trouble. Demotion is something we have to avoid. From the end of October we can start winning games if not more players will get sick.
