Gothic?

I haven’t written in a while and I’m in the mood to give you guys a complete update on what’s been going on, which is why I’m writing a second entry on a different topic. Going to Castlefest has kind opened my eyes to what I really like. I think that I’m very often too satisfied with what I’ve got while there are other things out there that I would enjoy even more. I want to be more active in trying to find things that I like and then doing them.

I went to the summer darkness festival in Utrecht. This Gothic fest took place in the city centre with as central point the Dom square. There were a couple of market stalls to buy clothing, but this was nothing as compared to Castlefest. The high point of the day at this location was the Attitude Holland fashion show, which I enjoyed. Regularly I also buy my clothes here. The concert I liked most was given by Faun. This was given in a church and completely ‘unplugged’ (which means without electric instruments etc., literally speaking there actually were ‘plugs’ since they did have microphones for the voices as well as the instruments). At about 7pm I went home. I should really plan these things more in advance because in the evening (and the night) there were also things that I probably would’ve liked, but I had to eat and to go to work the next day.
In two weeks I’m going to Epica. In April to Omnia in Lelystad (the Saturday evening in the week of the Easter tournament), which is something to look forward to. I got a ticket in the middle of the first row, which sounds great. I bought an Omnia CD, which I havn’t yet listened to (damn these Olympic Games!). I bought an Omnia Raven T-shirt, which I’m wearing right now and which they complimented me on at work. I’ve also ordered a Faun CD, but I have to wait paying them because they have to figure out how much it’ll cost to send it to me. Lastly, I’ve ordered another sweater/hoody or something from Attitude Holland which was on sale.
I downloaded an underground magazine and I’m at the moment listening to a Podcast from gothic-crush.

Step by step I’m changing my image. Or, to put it more precisely, I’m trying to find out what I like and am building an image with which I can live.
