Exerbabble for 3-24-6

Finishing off some cottage cheese right now. Want to get this up before my eye appointment at 2:45 PM.

Today’s Workout:

    Squat: 3×7 @ 155 lbs
    BB Shoulder Press: 5, 5, 5, 3, 3 @ 75 lbs
    Standing Calf Raise: 3×10 @ 260 lbs
    BB Bench Press: 3×6 @ 95 lbs
    Bench Dip: 3×10 @ BW

It’s so strange how I feel more in control of the weight when I have a mirror in front of me. I definitely think the mirror helps me handle more weight. I can’t gauge myself as well in the school weight room. I like watching my knees, make sure they aren’t wobbling at all. Watch to make sure I’m going down relatively straight. Keep my ass out, but watch for any forward lean. With the mirror in front of me, I let myself go down a little more, confident I could rise.

High weight, low reps. Decided it was time to increment the weight for the shoulder press. I can handle it, at the very least. Odds are, next week, I’ll be able to finish off the 5×5, then I’ll try for 4×6, then 4×7. *smiles*

The standing calf raise seems easier than the seated calf raise. In both, the knees are straight. There’s another seated calf raise where the knee is bent about 90 degrees, that hits the soleus more, as opposed to the gastrocnemius. Mmmhmm.

I thought about doing 5×5 for the bench press, as I did 3×5 two days ago. But I’d rather not do such high intensity, as um. I don’t want my bench press to increase faster than my shoulder press! : D

I couldn’t do dips on the bar, not without restricting my range of motion. So I did dips off a bench. I kept my arms wide. If they were more “behind” me, it would have hit my triceps more. Oh yeah, it hit my triceps as it was. But I could feel it working.. I’m not even sure what it was working. I want to say a bit of a lower pecs, and the lats. *shrugs*

I saw a guy doing bench presses, much more than me, but horrible form. Bouncing the bar off his sternum. …How do guys do this without worrying about their internal organs? Silly.

A guy that I’ve seen around for a while gave me advice for the shoulder press apparatus. I’ve noticed the rack comes forward slightly, but I couldn’t figure out why. He demonstrated that it’s better to bring it forward overhead, and then lift it up. *smiles* I like useful help.

I saw a guy doing overhead presses in the squat cage. No, no bitching. I’m just surprised someone was actually using the squat cage for something that REQUIRES that kind of safety.

I’ve totally missed having a shorn scrotum. I think I’ll go with the suggestion of shaping my pubes (when they grow back) into an arrow. But I’m so going to continue to pluck/shave my scrotum. Mmm, soft supple scrotum.

I hit up the diner afterwards. Most of the tables in my usual area were taken. So I spontaneously sat at the counter. I’ve never done that before! *smiles* The manager who likes me was around, as well the waitress that knows my order. Except, since I’ve been to Fatburger, I’m just not going to have burgers by default much anymore. Don’t know where I’m going tonight with my family, but I’m totally suggesting we GOTO Fatburger next Friday. (Wendi’s a vegetarian. *twirls finger*)

And I believe that’s that for now.

I love cottage cheese…is that weird?!

The mirror thingy.. Well When I did gym, mirror always made me feel more confident. Why? Have no idea.. Some things are just weird I suppose. *hugs* R.
