Political Quickie.

McCain: Has gone to the Dark Side of the Republican Party. Quite a shame.

Hillary: Has proved what a power-monger she is. It was obvious when she ran for Senate that she had her eyes set on the Big Chair. She certainly has every right to continue campaigning, but her attitude rubs me the wrong way.

Bill: I still love Bill Clinton. If he was running, I’d vote for him. Few people can orate like he can.

Ralph Nader: Needs to go away. Your time is up. You’re not going to influence the election in a positive fashion by siphoning votes. Send in a newer face to snag votes, if you want a candidate. Focus on lamblasting candidates for not focusing on issues, rather than being a part of the problem.

Obama: I haven’t noticed anything negative out of his campaign, which impresses me. I don’t really buy accusations of lack of experience. The Bush adminstration was surely experienced, and look what that experience has wrought us. Maybe I’m showing my youth, but I don’t recall a feeling of hope surrounding a candidate… ever. Elections can be decided on soundbites, and I like hearing him speak.

Al Gore: Is the man. If I were him, I wouldn’t want the Big Chair, either.

Terrorism: Has existed, and will always exist, but as a concept has been used to fill Americans with fear of the boogie man.

War in Iraq: Pointless, misguided. It’s at a point where if they were really going to bomb some country to lower gas prices, I might even agree with it. But with the amount of money flushed down the toilet, what the fuck’s in it for us? Politicians serve us. Stop being douchebags to countries and worry about us. And if you’re going to blow that much money, my god, do something useful for the world!

Electoral College: The entire voting system needs to more adequately represent the wants and desires of the people.

I quote Tracy Morgan on SNL: “Bitch may be the new black, but black is the new President, bitch!” ~

Obama is the modern Kennedy. RYN: The world is full of haters, they are just more vocal on the internet cuz it’s much harder to get your ass kicked via internet than running your mouth IRL. I’m not bothered.

I feel like we just had sex. Good sex, too.

“Focus on lamblasting candidates for not focusing on issues” Do you actually read his stuff or listen to his schpeels or just the media’s twisted coverage of him? He focuses almost entirely on the issues and how the two parties (and the media) are ignoring them.

RYN A well, it was more a punny comment based on the title, and the fact that I enjoyed your entry. I have commitment issues anyway, so don’t read too far into it. It would never work between us.

RYN: That’s a completely different proposition than what you said originally. Which is probably why you don’t know that those two issues (Iraq and democratic governance) are central to Nader’s campaign. And while it’s true most people don’t want a progressive in the race, some do.

Actually after re-reading, I take back my comments. I realized your piece must’ve been a spoof of the typical voter who vascilates comfortably between “x should focus more on issues” and “y is such a dreamy speaker.” And “I believe x, y and z but there’s no chance I’d consider voting for the candidate who believes the same.” Maybe you should be a writer for Colbert.

Please send people to this diary. Thx.

RYN: Thanks

Hon, maybe next weekend we can both get dressed up us as young Amish types, meet, and enjoy sex together. Let me know if you’re interested.

Oh i see my internet friend PoPs was here… Don’t mind him Hon. he’d give ORAL to Nader if the SITUATION arose…..
