I have always loved this song. Something about his voice. We together watched them sing this live during the Country Music Awards. I don’t know how it made you feel or what went through your mind, but I know so much did mine.

I watched two people madly in love with each other make love on stage. His guitar luring her in, her body mesmerized and hypnotized by its sound. Her eyes locked into him, her beautiful body swayed to his voice. Like a snake to its charmer. I almost felt like I was invading a private moment. Then I imagined what their children (if they have any) grew up witnessing. Music that filled their souls with stories, love that filled a home, fights that were resolved.

In that moment – I longed for someone to love me that way.
