Change is good
So I feel like the past few entires have been mostly about me complaining about life and how much it sucks, so I thought it would be nice to have somewhat of a “normal” entry for once…
Two of my closest friends are coming home for Thanksgiving and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m going to pick up Lauren from the airport this afternoon and we’re going to spend the night at her house catching up and watching movies and drinking cocktails…it will be great fun.
Danielle is also coming home sometime this weekend and we’re going to try to get together at least once this week while she’s in town. By the way Dan, I think we should go to Kareoke on Wednesday night, more details later!
Other great news, one of my only 2 classes on Tuesday has been canceled because Dr. Tibbs has to “go on business before the holiday.” He said that with a chuckle that leads us to believe that it’s not business at all, but we don’t care…as long as there’s no class. Then in my other class for the day Rhonda pushed back the due date for our wardrobe project so we don’t have to worry about it until after Thanksgiving which is a very good thing. So something tells me that with no project to turn in and my other class canceled, Rachael isn’t going to be going to classes on Tuesday. Happy Thanksgiving Break a day early…
We’re having Thanksgiving at my aunt’s house this week; it should prove to be very interesting since it’ll be the FIRST YEAR EVER that my dad’s immediate family did something together over the holidays. Usually there’s this huge family reunion with my grandpa and his brothers and sisters and their families so it ends up being this huge thing with like 100 people…but this year it’s going to be just us. From 125 to 25…it should be interesting…
I have to work all day Friday but it shouldn’t be that bad becasue all I have to do is dress up and walk around selling gift cards…clocked in at $11.00 an hour! So I’ll get like $90 for just asking people if they want to buy giftcards. This is far better than waiting tables for $2.13 an hour.
Nathaniel’s mom thinks that we’re eternal sinners because Nat plans on having a coming home party for his friend Joel and I don’t think that there’s anything wrong with 20 + guys sitting around playing Halo 2 and drinking jungle juice. I think it’s hilarious but I would never laugh about it to her face. I know that as a parent she worries and a lot of what she said sounded familar; kinda like the speech I got when my dad found out about MY party…
Well I need to get off of here and take a shower before I leave for the airport. It’s like a 2 hour drive, not bad but boring by yourself. At least I’ll have company on the way home. I’m looking forward to this week, chilling out and not really having a lot to do (besides my huge wardrobe project, but at least it’s 3/4 of the way finished.) Even better yet is that Christmas break is just a few weeks away and this semester will FINALLY be over!
so i tried to leave this earlier and it wouldn’t let me. so i will try it again. I’m sad we didn’t get together that much over break, but there is always christmas! we’ll always have monday night and your voicemail. over christmas we will terrorize semo. i hope you’re finals go well. and why didn’t i hear more about karaoke?

*note to Dan re: karaoke* because that was the same bar that had amature techno DJ night where we all got a little too drunk and Nat almost got in a bar fight with Texas Tim. After that I kinda figured that going back for karaoke was out of the question, plus they weren’t doing it that night anyways…so maybe next time.

drunk danielle = tone deaf danielle. but if you’re ready to deal with that, i won’t know i’m doing it. and i say we go for it
