An Update on Barista Guy
Saw Barista Guy this morning when I went to get the earbuds I left behind at BAM! on Monday. He did, as it turns out, give me a wrong number. Unlike I thought; however, it was an honest mistake. He gave me the right number this time. I double checked when I finally made it to the library. 🙂 I’m happy that I was wrong about him. He is a genuinely nice guy. Can’t wait until I can be at BAM! for more than just picking up earbuds.
Today was so long. I’m glad to be home. I enjoyed my time at volunteering and at Scrapper’s Delight. I definitely need to get some pictures together for next month. Perhaps I will ask Mom if she will pay for a Shutterfly run so I can get pics of my nieces, nephews, and Murphy. Yes, Murphy. You guys probably don’t know a lot about Murphy. Especially those of you who are back from the OD’s hiatus. He was my first cat that was mine. I lost him to feline cancer almost five years ago next month. I am still in mourning. Honestly, how do you ever get over losing an animal that was your constant companion for more than 13 years?? In my head, Murphy wasn’t even really an animal. To me, he was a person in a cat’s body because he understood me almost as well as my closest human friends and family. While I very obviously love my three shell babies and Sandy, they are no real replacement for Murphy.
On the way home, my charging cable got stuck in the car door, and I had no way of actually opening the door to get it out. This caused the USB end of it to be destroyed by the time I got home. This was my much longer cable, and let me tell you, I am so unhappy about it because I got it specifically for when I’m in bed. I should’ve known better. -sigh- I am going to see if Mom can also get me another by next month. I really need to have 3 of them. One for travel, one for my USB port on my recliner, and one for my bedroom. It’s just so much easier to have three. I don’t know if Mom will let me do that. I may just get an extra one for travel from Wish when I’ve paid PayPal down.
I checked the shipping for my Cirkul products when I got home. Ordered my Sips, and my stainless steel bottle. Both are due here on the 12th. My other order from Book Beau (protective sleeves for my books since I have a habit of just putting them in my bag a hurry and unintentionally messing them up) hasn’t shipped yet, but I am looking forward to those, too.
Tomorrow, I am getting in my cable case. This is a case to keep in my backpack organized, and not have cables and chargers everywhere. I’ll feel much better about my cords and external hard drive coming with me places. I’m excited I get to bring Blueberry with me everywhere I go if I so choose. it’s nice. I couldn’t do that with my other laptop because it was so big. That’s another reason why I went this small. For portability purposes. Especially since I so often find myself with downtime when I’m out and about.
Anyway, I’m gonna go. Got a sudden twitch in my finger, and it’s making typing so hard. 🙁 Welcome to my life, people. Sudden onsets of pain, headaches, and lots of craziness. I hope I can talk to you guys later about some of the writing projects I’ve started planning and writing! 🙂
