The pitfalls of having Chronic Conditions Caused by Disability
So I got some terrible news earlier tonight. That transcribing job that I loved so much is no longer mine. Because I had to unclaim two jobs today due to not feeling well, my metric for commitment fell below the acceptable numbers. So. They didn’t even give me a warning. I was just… deactivated and that was it. Final decision. No ifs ands or buts.
I won’t stay down long. My soon to be sister-in-law has linked me to other companies that hire freelance transcribers. I may have to buy software or something, though, so I will need to check into things thoroughly before I commit anymore. As of now, I am going back to Swagbucks and going to keep Usertesting open all day tomorrow. (I never left Swagucks, just to be clear, but I really have slacked off over the last few months aside from Swag IQ, which i absolutely love, even if I have yet to actually win tons from it).
I got my two books, my tech backpack, and my new battery pack today from Amazon. That was a great mail day. I won’t have another one like that until Thursday when my last two books for the month show up. New York 2140 and the Time Quintet by Madeliene L’engle. (This is technically 5 books in a boxset, but it still counts!).
Okay, I’m gonna try and get some sleep. Just really upset and unsure of how I am going to move on. It feels like I had diamonds dangled in front of me and then snatched away just when I was getting ahead. It sucks! -sigh-
