I am a 54 year old wife and mother of four. I have two sons, two daughters, a son in law, daughter in law, granddaughter and grandson. Like my diary name says, I am happiest when I am at home. I have lots of hobbies to keep me busy. I enjoy making quilts, crocheting, reading, coloring and playing my keyboard. I have one child left at home, my 20 year old son who is on the autism spectrum. I homeschooled him from first grade on. I am hoping to find some of my old friends here or make some new ones.

Still Here…

January 6, 2024
Been a couple of months since I’ve written anything here.  We’ve made a couple more trips to Houston since I last wrote.  Walker has been doing great with his chemo, until today.  He started running 104 fever and his bilirubin (I think that’s the one) levels are high…which has to do with his live...

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.  I never thought it would hit so close to home.  Walker starts another round of chemo today.  He was supposed to have it last week but his bloodwork levels weren’t right so they had to wait.  He’s handling chemo well so far, although he did end up in...

I’m still alive and kicking…just been very busy. At the end of July we went to Orange Beach, AL.  We got a condo and it was Jose’ and I, Stephen (our son), Ashley and their two boys, Kinley (our daughter) and her boyfriend and my best friend Bonnie.  We stayed four nights. Jose’ and I…

    June 22, 2022
In 2008 I still had all four of my kids at home.  Stephen was a Senior and about to graduate, Kaylyn was 15, Kinley was 9 and Landon was 5.  We had a LOT of rain and everything was flooding.  Our front yard was under water almost up to our front porch.  The kids didn’t…

  • Autism Awareness Day
    April 3, 2022
Yesterday was Autism Awareness Day…Here is my Landon.  He was diagnosed with Asperger’s when he was five years old.  Asperger’s is a high functioning form of Autism.  I don’t think they use that term anymore…they just say “on the autism spectrum”.  I am proud of Landon and the things that he has ...

  • Winston

Winston had a great doctor’s appointment today.  It was a year ago today that they found his heart murmur and enlarged heart.  I give him a fluid pill every day to keep the fluid from backing up in his lungs…which is what killed our other dog nine months ago.  Today when they listened to his…

  • Stormy Weather
    March 29, 2022
We are supposed to have some very bad weather coming tomorrow…I’m not looking forward to that.  They are talking about a high chance for tornadoes.  Oh the joys of living in the South.  It’s another reason I don’t like Springtime weather.  Winston has his vet appointment tomorrow but I may have t...

Happy Sunday :-). Today I get to spend the whole day with my best friend, Bonnie.  She has to take her daughter back to her dad in Texas and asked me to ride with her.  We are going to meet her ex halfway, which I think is on the other side of Shreveport, LA so…

  • I’m still alive
    March 26, 2022
I haven’t written in a few days.  It’s because I just don’t have anything new to say.  I have been doing pretty much the same thing every day.   I haven’t felt great the past few days.  I’m hurting in my shoulder/neck and it’s causing me to have headaches. If it’s cool enough outside Jose’…

  • Good Monday Morning :-)
    March 21, 2022
And here it is Monday again.  Today I have to take back the heart monitor I wore for 48 hours.  I was disappointed that my heart didn’t act as bad as it usually does for the monitor to pick up.  Three times my heart rate hit around 110 and once it got up to 128…
