I’m a boomer which I suppose makes me an old guy. My hair is mostly grey now. This is ridiculous. How did this happen? Definitely not how I see myself. But as Popeye would say, I yam what I yam.

I’m autodidactic, a retired (analog) microwave electrical engineer (the universe is analog / take note all you digital guys), photographer, audiophile, and on occasion, a writer of some variety. I am a student of Zen Buddhism albeit a poor one. I need all the help I can get. I’m painfully self aware. And I'm wicked modest. Ask me about the meaning of life when you have some time to kill (not that anyone really has that luxury) and I’ll fill you in. My grandfather was fond of telling me I was “too smart for my own britches”. He was probably right.

If you are entertained by reading what may show up here that’s great. If you want to leave comments, be my guest. I don’t bite. I’ll read them. I might even answer you if you are polite.

Namaste and all that.

Standing on the Corner Watching all the Girls Go By

July 14, 2020
Okay Boomer. Well who the hell knew they didn’t like it? Wasn’t it The Four Lads song back in 1956 that glorified the wonderful male pastime of admiring the female form in public? All those days are gone of course now. The song certainly didn’t age well. It’s at least no longer politically correc...

But I am always honest here. Well, were I to be completely honest, I would have to say I at least try very hard to be. But I am often not literal. That's to say I just let my mind's eye wander and document the landscape. What hits the page here can be gender bent, or cross…

I love Seinfeld. I’ve heard that show described as being about nothing. The writers have even embraced the idea. But I respectfully disagree. I say it’s about everything. I particularly enjoy George Costanza. A man I can identify with. He understands the idea of worlds colliding. Matter and antim...

We come into being with a single mission:We are here to run in a relay race. We  come into existence already on the starting line with the baton firmly in hand. Or more to the point, the baton is firmly held within us. It was handed to us from our parents. And they got it…

  • Alone in my thoughts
    May 22, 2020
The nature of that of which we are a part but can not know can't be described. But in the darkness and distance of a verdant May night, it all seems so close. Perhaps we have a sense that we have been taught to ignore. It’s fun to believe such ideas. But I do believe…
