1665 Super My @ss
Saucy Scale: 7
I’m sick. I feel like crap. Just a bad cold variety sick (as opposed to a barf-kind of sick). My throat hurts thanks to my old friend post nasal drip. My ears hurt…b/c that’s what happens when I get a sore throat. My glands are swollen and I’m stiff.
We overslept this morning. Between that and not feeling so great, I skipped my Tuesday morning workout. If things look better tomorrow, I’ll drag the boys to the gym in the morning.
The boys just helped me celebrate Super Tuesday with the traditional vote. What a lame-o selection of weiners to vote for. I held my nose and voted. Oh Fred, how I miss you.
When we marched into our Polling Place, a pretty young lady was jusy leaving. She called out my name with a question mark… "Thaaat?" I recognized her immediately and used her full name back at her. This was a girl I haven’t seen or been friends with since…oh…7th grade. (This is the downside to moving back to your hometown.) We chatted for a few minutes & learned we live in the same subdivision! I drive past her home everytime I drive into the neighborhood. Weird. She was very sweet and looked FABULOUS & I was horribly embarrassed by my own appearance. Minimal make-up, messy hair, those additional pounds I’ve picked up since 7th grade…ugh!
That’s the down-side of today.
The up-side is that my wireless network works when I’m parked in the driveway. So I can utilize my much beloved laptop while my babies slumber in the backseat of the minivan.
The boys have gotten rid of their pink-eye. Thankfully. Poor Mattson does still have an eye malady, though. His tear ducts are still plugged (the doc will discuss a surgical route if they are still plugged at his 1st birthday), and he’s often got an eye infection of one sort or another. His eye is still goopy & crusty. The delicate undereye skin is really irritated right now. I cam tell that it is quite painful when I try to wash his eye and put in his drops. He gets super angry and bucks like a bronco during the who thing.
Mattson has been practicing his Mad Standing Skillz. The boy is practicing to walk unassisted.
Whoops! A baby is stirring…I better drive a bit to lull them back to sleep. So, that’s my report for now.

i love that you can use the laptop in the car.

Don’t you know you’ll always run into an old school friend when you’re looking worn and tired? It never fails to happen to me. I hate that.

I always manage to run into some fabulous looking old friend when I look my worst as well. That is some Murphey’s Law or something. My son had a blocked tear duct until very close to his 1st birthday. Hopefully Mattson’s will clear up naturally and surgery can be avoided.
