Saucy Scale: 8
Our agreement with the homebuilder is that we will have our home on the market by Wednesday night.
My darling husband has been working his fingers to the bone to get our home ready for a realtor visit. For 2 weeks he’s been packing up the "house clutter". On Saturday morning he and a group of guys from church loaded our extra possessions into a U-Haul and then transferred everything to a storage unit.
My big contribution to the process was to go through my magazines and do some heavy-duty recycling. Seriously, I was of no help whatsoever. Anytime I did try to assist in the packing, I wound up with my head in my favorite bucket.
I was able to do some actual housecleaning last night and today. Between TBU’s decluttering and our joint attack of the dustbunnies, dirty laundry, and general household dirt…we whipped the place together in time for our appointment with the realtor tonight at 5:00.
The news about home prices in our neighborhood is a bit less encouraging than we were previously led to believe. I’m not sure what this will mean for us. Things just feel very "iffy" right now. I wish they didn’t feel that way.
I’ve got too many other "Big Picture Items" to worry about. I don’t think that I can spare my limited energies on fretting about the house.
Anyhoo…onto other business.
Our house is so unbelievably tidy that I think I’ll cancel Dry Lady this week. There’s not much left for her to do that TBU & I can’t do ourselves.
Last week TBU and I met with my OB. We just had a few unanswered questions we were hoping to have answered. I’m not sure they were, though. I mean, they were answered, but not to the degree of depth I was hoping for.
Basically, my doctor was trying to tell me that there is no way to predict the outcome of some of the questions we were raising. Ok, fine. I get that. I just wanted more concrete answers.
I’m pretty sure that I’m not eating or drinking enough & I’m still pretty barfy. The doctor isn’t concerned, however, because I managed to gain a pound. (Ok, I didn’t even bother mentioning the fact that all the old manual scales have been replaced with brand-new electronic scales since my last visit.)
To be on the "safe side", the doctor went ahead and ordered both a 1 hour glucose test & a Level 2 ultrasound from the perinatalogy practice in a month. My next OB appointment is in a month as well.
I recently picked up a couple boxes of Belly Bars. I tried both "Berry Nutty Cravings" and "Baby Needs Chocolate". I thought the chocolate ones might potentially have an @ss flavor, but I tried one today & they were freaking yummy!
So last week Mattson picked up some nasty booger nose illness from PDO. He’s been a booger bomb ever since.
Even worse, Gusser is having "intestinal distress". He’s had some poopular issues for over a week. I’ve had him on the BRAT diet (Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, & Toast) & have been avoiding milk products. The Peds office also suggested gatorade & Activia-type yogurt.
Even though he’s totally potty-trained, his poor little tush has been working overtime. He’s had 3 separate poopy accidents. Such a drag.
And that’s about all the news these days.
I need to get cracking on securing a few of those donations for the auction I’ll soon be ditching. Tomorrow I’ll be dragging my children from store to store. Using their cuteness to shame shopkeepers into giving us free swag.
Oh, and the babies…they love this time of day. They swim & kick and put on a heck of a show.
Nighty-Night.
5 Things That Make Me Happy:
- My house is clean. Empty of clutter and stuff…but most of all, clean.
- Yummy yummy Belly Bars.
- blahblahblah dancing twincakes.
- DVRing all kinds of good stuff! Mad Men & Prison Break!!!
- my children are so beautiful & amazing.
It’s a good thing summer is over so you can claim the bucket as yours, lol. I’ve never tried the Belly Bars, but those Preggie Pops and Blow Pops did wonders for me when I was pregnant as far as nausea goes. I hope the house sells quickly to give you piece of mind. Worst case scenario would you be able to rent it out?

Suggestion for Gus? If he’s having problems with dairy and poop – put him on Culturelle for Kids. I open up one pill and mix it in with my daughter’s soy milk. It does take a while to work, but her poops are rock solid now. It’s a very popular product in my area, so I had to order it from drugstore.com.

You do have so much on your plate right now. I hope and pray your house sells for a great price and at a great time with respect to your new house.

I’m home with emmy today for the same thing. I have it too. Weird though, our ped said no gatorade because it can make the runs worse, but milk was ok? I can’t get her to eat anything. It’s pissing me off. TMI – her poop is literally like water. It’s clear and had bananas in it. I’ve never been so grossed out in my life. The smell is awful. 🙁

ryn – Hm…. I think the best bet would be to contact someone in the community service area. Hm……. I found this… http://disney.go.com/disneyhand/contributions/index.html You could try to talk to someone at your local Disney store. Maybe they can help figure something out. Sorry I couldn’t help out more!
