Saucy Scale: 8

Two weekends ago we found ourselves taking a day trip to Saugutuck, Michigan for a wedding.  One of TBU’s oldest & dearest friends has found a lovely girl to replace that whore of an ex-wife of his.  We couldn’t be happier for them!

I’ve never been to a wedding like this one.  It wasn’t exactly my cup of tea, but then again…it wasn’t my wedding, so who cares what I think.  It suited this couple wonderfully.

Long story short, it was a big party on the beach.  As in…in the sand.  It was very casual and very full of love for the couple.  Oh yeah…and sandy.

As soon as I heard about the wedding plans, all I could do was dread hiking down the sandy beach pregnant with twins (sick as a dog & still nursing some serious foot pain from my previous ligament pull), with a toddler & preschooler in tow.  And no way to drag a stroller or highchair down the beach with us!  I was full of dread.

I had hoped to leave the boys at home or with a sitter, but TBU wouldn’t hear of it. We’d be seeing old friends & they’d want to see the kids.  TBU promised me that he would take responsibility for the children…and he kept his word.  If he hadn’t done all the work, that beach wedding wouldn’t done my sh*t in.

There was a day last week when I found myself feeling a little frisky.  I keep reading all you horny preggos & I just have to shake my head with wonder.

With all that nausea & barfing, the last thing I felt like was making whoopie!  It does appear that my day-long nausea might be dissipating (not wanting to jinx myself).  Of course, just ’cause I’m not nauseaous, doesn’t mean I’m done barfing.  Now when I’m sick, it comes on fast & furious…without warning.  Very interesting.

Anyhoo…there was sex.  Good Times.  Just hope the hubby doesn’t get too used to the idea.  HA!

Dry Lady came to our house today.  God bless her!  I seriously heart Dry Lady.

She got down on her Ukranian hands and knees with a bucket of vinegar water and cleaned the heck outta the scuffed up floors I complained about previously.

See you in 2 weeks, Dry Lady.  I miss you already.

Last night was a meeting for the Auction.  I’m frustrated.  I’m not sure what to think about some of the situation.  I shouldn’t care…I’m gonna be done with that responsiblity soon enough.

It isn’t even worth complaining about.  Not that that’s ever stopped me before.

Tonight is haircut & highlights!  Woo Hoo!  My stylist is also preggo.  When I say she’s sick as a dog, I’m not kidding.  She makes my sickness look like a walk thru the park.  She might spend quite a bit of time in the bathroom during our appointment.  I feel so sorry for her.

So, I better get those babies of mine upstairs for naptime or they will be grump@sses for their babysitter later this afternoon.

5 Things That Make Me Happy:

  1. My boys are seriously funny.
  2. Lunch out on Grandpa’s dime.
  3. Dry Lady
  4. Hair Lady
  5. Babysitter

A DAY trip to Saugatuck? With the kiddos? You are brave, brave souls.

Can you get highlights when you’re preggo? I thought that dying your hair at all was a no-no? I havent had highlights since I was preggo with Sam because by the time I could get them again- they were mostly grown out and I figured hell if I’m going to go through THAT again. haha. Also- Can I borrow your Dry Lady with the lacking grasp of the english language? Our Dry Lady has a bad attitude and asmart mouth… oh wait.. *I’M* our Dry Lady now… *sobs*

I was SO nauseous for the first trimester. I tried everything, and then finally got on Zofran. I don’t know what I would have done without it.
