1781 Late night ramblings
Saucy Scale: 9
Well, my full-body preggo belt arrived yesterday. A crazy contraption with no written instructions for putting it on! Not to ruin his rep, but my darling husband was the fashion guinea pig and figured out how to get it on. I was laughing so hard that of course, I tinkled. Niiice.
So there, we were both humiliated.
For those of you looking for some nice bargains on clothing for babies & children of all ages, I give you one of my better secrets: Lands’ End. Go straight to the Lands’ End dept. hidden in your local Sears (*gasp* ) and find some serious multiple markdown clearance! On top of that, the clearance stuff is marked down an additional 30%! They offer this sale a couple times a year & now is the time.
I love their baby clothes! They wear great & last forever. I can never find the baby clothes I want online, so I am willing to venture into a Sears store (*double gasp*) to paw through the racks personally.
Lands’ End is the only thing that makes walking through the doors at Sears possible for me. If you see something in a catalog or online…don’t order it! Walk into the store & they will order it for you online & you will NOT pay any shipping charges. If you don’t like your purchase when it arrives, they will take it back at the store. Even if you have an item embroidered, they will take it back. There is NO TIME LIMIT for when you return Lands’ End items at the Sears store (which is not the case when you purchase regular Sears product, apparently).
Thus endeth my 100% satisfaction plug of Lands’ End trapped within the confines of icky old Sears.
I’ve got a picture of our new Craigslist changing table (I gotta figure out how to post it). TBU added up the value of the table & baskets vs. what I paid for the whole thing…and he was really impressed. It is a much bigger piece of furniture than our upstairs changing table! It is already taking over a corner in the Family Room. And it has already been christened by Mr. Mattson’s poopy tush!
TBU’s mom will be arriving tomorrow afternoon for another visit. She’s such a tremendous help for me! I’ll be able to get out for a pedicure (FINALLY!), my next OB appointment, maybe lunch…who knows.
And with that…it is bedtime.
Time to fly.
I am doubly crossing my fingers that you get that pedicure. You deserve it.

If you want another bargain and with you MIL there can get out on Tuesday hit your local Bloomindales or Macys. They are giving out free cosmetics as part of some large court settlement. So you might be able to get some quality stuff. Have a great time at the pedicure.

*Sobs* how did you get the boys to go to toddler beds? Or at least, Gus? Sam has been in his big boy bed in his room (or rather.. at least in his room) for over an HOUR now… not asleep yet. I am totally at a loss.

I LOVE Lands End clothing – for my and the kid, and am a regular at Lands End Overstock. In fact, I just got our set of ubersoft flannel sheets there for $49! I didn’t know that Sears will order for you though – thanks for the great tip! I think the image of The Big U in the pregnancy supporter is going to give me asthma from laughter.

On a normal day Sam’s up/nap/sleep time looks like this: 845-9am he wakes for the day 245-315 he goes down for a nap. 5-6pm he wakes up from nap and 10pm he is in bed, asleep within a few minutes of that. Joe normally doesnt get home from work until 7-730pm, and we eat dinner as a family- so by the time he gets home, cooks dinner (oh yeah, I dont cook) and we get Sam bathed and some snuggle time and into bed, it’s 10pm. Some days he stays up later (Sam) and some days he goes to bed earlier. But he’s always been a later riser and a later-go-to-bed-er. haha. I wish I cold put him in bed at 8pm and have an adult evening, but it just doesnt work for him… even when we wake him up earlier in the morning and put him into bed at 930 instead of 945 or 10- he will be in his room up for THREE TIMES as a long than if we just put him into bed 15 minutes later. Go figure. Thanks for your advice on the big boy bed, he goes to bed in it for the night like a CHARM- not even one measely cry.. but naptimes I think will be the death of me .

Do they have jeans that are…well, have kind of a knee protection on them? Jacob has busted a hole in every single pair of his pants. Clearly we need to get more sturdy jeans LOL.
