1792 No time

Saucy Scale: 10

The lack of time to get something done for me (eg. write an entry here) is getting to me.

My hubby is both sick & sleep deprived.

The babies have been going regularly for weight checks…and they are both doing GREAT!  I no longer need to rent/use a hospital grade breastpump (to establish/increase milk supply…this is SO not an issue).

I had a scary phone call from my Peds office informing us that Rex needed to have some bloodwork done.  Long story short, there was a chance that he might have congenital thyroidism – which scared the heck out of me.  It was a gruesome and sad moment taking my 3 week old son to a lab & trying to comfort him while they cut him open.  I just learned yesterday that his test came back negative for congenital thyroidism…all is well.

My twins have reached & passed their Estimated Due Date.  They will be a month old tomorrow.  I can’t believe it.

My darling little Mattson turned 2 this past Saturday.  I can’t believe it.

Gus & Mattson are having some very normal (yet infuriating) behavioral issues lately.  Where did my little boys with wonderful manners go?  I am so sick & tired of them screaming at eachother over toys!  They no longer hear me when I’m correcting them, unless I’m screaming at them.  So not the kind of mommy I want to be.  It is so freaking hard to be a great mother to both the twins and my big boys.

The baby napping in the crook of my left arm is ready to wake up and get herself some nummies.  God, but my babies are gorgeous.  I could stare at those little faces forever.

Times up.

I think it’s freaking hard to be a great mother, period.

It sounds to me like you’re doing awesome! I hope you are able to get some rest, too. I know it’s got to be nearly impossible. {{hugs}}

I cannot imagine how hard it must be right now – with four little ones… even with all the help (church and family and your wonderful husband).. I am SURE the bulk of it is on you ,and you must be absolutely exhausted. Just nursing ONE baby is hard- I cannot imagine nursing two, and having two still need you. Not that you want to add to your burden- but if you get a chance, or if you can downloadand listen- trying this book “Unconditional Parenting” I was turned to it from a favorite of mine- I havent started reading it yet but I have heard RAVE reviews. xoxoxoxoxo loving you.

Ryan’s manner have gone to the dogs, too. I hear myself screeching far more then I would like. I’m sure you are doing a fabulous job. Can’t believe the twinners are a month old already! You should post some new pics of them. Glad Rex’s test turned out ok.

I just read an article that made me think of you. A woman gave birth to twins a few days ago…their total birth weight was TWENTY-THREE pounds!!! Holy crap!!

All I can say is awwww!!! I’m so glad the thyroidism was a false alarm.

Glad to hear you’re doing great. Even with one baby lack of time is an issue but I can’t imagine how hard it is to get a moment’s peace with two older ones and twins.

Glad the feeding issues have gotten better. God, we had a heckuva time with both of them, for totally different reasons, so I totally get it!

RYN: Thanks, but since I’m a graphic designer, designing them isn’t really the problem. It’s just finding the time!
